o.k. well i have been searching for a car to get me through my last two years of high school for a cheap price, and i think my mom wants to get me a van. i talked to the owner the other night and the USC vs. Tenn. game and he said he drove it to tennessee and back one or two times i dont remeber, but it runs well. He said there is a couch and bar in the back which i am interested it, but havent seen it yet. I think i am going to look at it on tuesday.

All that aside, i want to go with a SQ setup and i already have the 15" IDQ in a sealed box, but will the enormus size of a van make is quieter or not sound as good. Where should i put the sub? In the very back, right behind the driver seat, etc., etc.?? I have never seen a system in a van so i have no idea. I will put two sets of components, one in the front and one in the very back, because i think i may spend some time in the back if you know what i am saying. Please help me out, and if anyone has pics of a setup in a van, NOT a wall but just like a 1-2 sub setup, please post them or something so i can get some ideas. Thanx a bunch

Well Ive got a suburban with 1 12 and a ported box. Definately go ported you will gain some serious output. If your IDQ was installed in a trunk car it will be noticably louder in a van due to the sub actually being in the same cabin as you. I would probably go with a Crx style box as well.

What is a Crx style box? I have it in a 1.55cuft sealed box right now and have never been able to hear it ...... because i still am in need of a automobile. I am going to hook up my sub right when i get it and move it around to find out the best possible solution, and if i am not satisfied then i will go ported, but please learn me on what a Crx style box is.

Yes and no.

The amount of space you need to pressurize in a full size cargo van is much greater...you could very well lose a lot going from a trunked car with the same setup.

I've noticed that A-pillar tweet locations can help a lot in making sure the stage is where it needs to be...since kickpanels really don't work in vehicles like this, we're either stuck with doorpods or getting creative //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
