I always called them Van Hagar after Sammy got the vocals gig with them.

Nowhere near the same energy level or musicality that they had with Dave - shouldn't have even kept the name, IMO.

Other than that I would like to point out that I wish Van Halen would have been more aggressive with the BASS drum. It always seemed like their albums lacked good hard hitting bass drum. Just my .02

man i forgot about this thread, i bought the dvd live right here right now, sat in my car an watched the whole dvd, it was awsome.... i got goosebumps when right now came on......makes me wanna go see sammy and the wabbos this summer..... im not a big fan of the wabos, but they play 2/3s sammy and van halen, micheal anthony is awsome......

also i can see how you all diss sammy, but sammy is awsome, his personality and style of music.....his music is so much different than davids but yet so much the same.. they both sing about women allot, sammy more about women and love... but sammys music has more of a meaning than davids does i guess you can say... o well van halen is awsome!
