V8 in a S-10

Got a friend with a 95 S-10 and he said its hard to put a 350 in his truck. I dont know what he's going with, LT-1, L-98, or some old carbuerated engine. I was just wondering if any of you all have witnessed one of these trucks with a V8 in them.

does it have a 4.3 in it right now? the 350 will go right in with a lil hammering on the firewall my blazer is soon to have a 350 in it just tell him to get a t350 or better transmission and rearend

That's one of the easiest swaps ... 4.3L ---> 5.7L in an S-10 ... especially with all of the kits available now.

never had it dyno'ed it runs 11.6 with ****** problems. Gunna have it refreshed next year and it should touch 11.30's. Its got 9:1 compression with a .500 lift hydraulic cam. Runs on pump gas. If i had to guess the HP is around 400 and the torque is close to 450.

I will be at the Super Chevy Show in Epping New Hampshire next year. Its usually memorial day weekend if its not rained out! I race in the DOT class and usually park on the grassy side of the track.
