Usually don't ask this....but

Well for the rears I'll just use my current four channel and then for the subs I'm either going to buy a JL Audio 1000/1 from where I work and or stick with my current kx1200.1...Well actually heres a list of what I have together for my next setup....

Fronts – Boston Acoustics Z6’s

Rears- Boston Acoustics Pro series/Polk Momo 5250

Amp – MB Quart 4250/JL Audio 450/4

Subs – 2 13” JL Audio 13w6v2

Sub Amp – Kicker KX1200.1/JL Audio 100/1

Kicks – ABT

Battery – Optima Yellow Top

Cap – Alumapro 15 Farad

RCA – Monster Cable

4 Channel – Pro Series

2 Channel – Pro Series

Big Three – 1/0 Gauge

Distribution Block – 1/0 to 4 gauge

Well when Ikesound decides to fix my QAA4250 dilemma, I'll be running it to push my front stage. 250x4 ftw!

As far as sound quality, there are no sonic distinctions between amps. One amp isn't going to be "warm" sounding just because of X and Y components. But out of the box, there IS a different, most likely because of different frequency response. Not all amps have the same FR. An amp that has a bump in the 700hz region and it'll sound "warm." If you hear a difference, it's because of FR, not because of the pixie dust. Even Richard Clark made a point that not all amps are the same unless you isolate all variables except for the amplification itself. After that, no difference.

Which means you can very simply equalize the two to "sound" the same //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I'm going to experiement with that later on when the semester is over. Though I doubt I can get the exact same response using a 1/3rd octave EQ //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I have two sets of Z6 components and two JL 300/2's to power them. Im not trying to jack your thread, but i am now starting to wonder whether i should get amps with some more juice to power them. They arent hooked up yet, im still waiting on the car to get back from the shop.

sell 1 set of Z6's, and use the amps to power the remaining set. 1 amp for each side, left and right.

Not an option... i will run rear fill, just because the alpine cda-7998 has time correction //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Also Foxpro....A Perfect Circle rocks! One of my fav. bands

But for sure I am going to be running rear fill...Of the setup I posted do you think thats pretty good?

Speaking of APC and car audio, if you want some low rumbling bass that will really test your chit, play the song "Lullaby" off of Thirteenth Setp...it's the next track after "Pet" aka Counting Bodies Like Sheep.....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
