Well, it was just me and Mr. Casey Walsh //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif I thought it was a fun little time. Walked through the factory, there wasnt much production actually, just one guy in the back soldering, and dirk in his lab workin it because the CES stuff was set up in the work room.

Ill have pix later on tonight but ill post what i thought was the most informative part of the tour, the interview with JR. This is just the section of the Q&A in which people from the forums asked questions. We talked for a good hour afterwards about different things usamps has been designing, most notably their venture into home audio But that is for another time.

now i dono who exactly JR is....what his position in the company is....but his lack of care for the consumer is astonishing. he's basically saying.....i lie about my products, they're shittty, and you, the consumer, are a retard for purchasing them....but what do i care since your money is now in my pocket.

i really hope these videos make their way around the audio community. it's a shame that we are subject to this from a company in such a high spot. shows what kind of company they really are.

Wow...just watched the Xterminator vid. Makes me sick.

I would much rather sell my customers a "1200wrms" amp that can will actually produce those #'s than a "1500w" amp that MIGHT do 1000w.

Just like a few weeks ago, one of our Reps for a distributor came by telling us about a new company they picked up. He hyped the amps and subs like crazy...claimed 900WRMS from this amp. He also said their subs were amazing for the $.

I got one of the 12's from him and stuck it in a prebuilt just to see....It was making a funny sound. Come to find out, the subs surround glue joint was crap and was separated in bout a 2" section right out the box //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I then put the "900wrms" amp up against a Clarion 400wrms. You could not tell the difference in loudness, so I tested the amps w/ a clamp and DMM. at ~8ohm reactive on the same sub, power supply, CD, HU, Tone (everything)...the Clarion produces ~15w less than the "900wrms" NRG Audio amp.

If USAmps is going in the direction of posting big #'s and not backing them up...I feel sorry for them.

JR is the VP of usamps. I too am kinda disappointed in the direction they took with the xterminator line. however, if they want to go mainstream, where to be honest most of the money is, they have to do what they do.

also like JR said, they are just going with the market trend for the low end. but in a business sense, it makes sense. usamps is still a fairly underground brand name, and when trying to sell for example Xt2000D with its true CEA ratings vs a kenwood 2000w MAX amp, its tough because the average customer doesnt know who the heck usamps is, and would prefer to go with the kenwood because the kenwood does 2000w and the 2000d does like 800. that's my take on it from an objective POV.

this is strictly for the xterminator line. i hate to keep referring to the vid, but they need the sales of the low end line in order to fund the R&D and production of the mid to high end

I think you need to open your eyes to how marketing and all that works.. if thats all you picked up from the video..
