So, debating on entering my vehicle in the USACi SQ event at HeatWave next weekend, simply to see what I can do. Never entered in a competition, been to a couple SPL comps but never a SQ comp. Been reading through the USACi rules (http://www.soundoff.org/rules/2013USACiSQRules.pdf), and it looks like they may place me in the Modified class, but may bump me up to Super Modified because of my glassed door panels.

Also, what is provided and what do I need to bring? That document says that a CD is provided and must be used. Other than that I'm lost.

What exactly happens during the judging time? From the rules, first you show off the system for 7 minutes, and then you demo for the judges for 10 minutes. Do they sit in the car and take full control, or do I control?

Who can give me some good tips or just what to expect? I'm so lost!

simiple ... Judge sits in your car with a disc or two in hand, the listen to your vehicle for about 10 to 30 minutes, write down your scores, then move on to the next vehicle ... another judge will judge your install, thats where you can discuss your install with him ... If you are in the class that requires a SPL reading ... you may then proceed to the SPL lanes ...

Judges will walk you through each step of the way brother ... and give you hints on what you need to improve on ...
