well IASCA has good sq judges and from what i hear db drag is gonna have sq too. TNESPL does not have sq, Dont know about meca or usaci though

Actually MECA was originally more an SQ organization, and in fact they'd of like to of kept it that way if it wasnt for the SPL'ers who proved that they made more money for the organizatoin as a whole.

To be honest i have no idea. i have never been to a show, but have always wanted to. I am totally about sound quality and figure for once in my life can "afford" to do it i'm going to give it my best effort. Plus the guy installing my sh*t has more talent than I will ever have. We will see if i ever get anywhere, if not I will have a fantastic daily driver!

how do you expect to get anywhere if you do not install your own stuff? those H2 Hummers with awesome sealed fiberglass systems are cool but i like looking at real systems a lot more.

I could still use the Iasca CD if anyone can get me one. As far as installing it myself, well I will post some pictures when it is finished and I honestly could not do this type of work.

If you plan to compete in IASCA, then just join the org and you'll receive the CD along with rule book, etc.

I fail to see how the two are related. Many people have competed (and done very well) with systems that were professionally installed. Many people don't have the time, skill, knowledge or patience to build a competition worthy install on their own.
