Seems like your very smart, you've already figured out who finances quite a bit of Israel's army, which is also part of the reason why the Arab's hate America, because America stands behind Israel. I'm not going to get in a big discussion over Israel, but I will tell you this. I have heard stories of how the Israel army will go and kill poor little Palestinian children, just because they hate the Palestinians, they to are very corrupt. People don't hate each other for no reason at all. But, Israel is a big reason that America is hated by some of the Arab world.

the real issue with teh middle east situation right now in the west, is the uneven media presentation we get..

it is essentially propoganda,,..

I do disagree with much of what "The Sword of Hebron" does and how he deals, but Israel is not the only agressor...

Remeber a while ago, the New York Post printed a picture on the cover of a man with a series of cuts and severe bleeding with an israeli soldier.. The caption stated he was a Palestinian and that the Soldier was attacking him. A few days/weeks later, the truth came out.. he was a jewish student visiting from teh states who was in a car that was attacked by a bunch of palestinians... they were stoning him and nearly killed him. The soldier in fact rescued the Student from the car.

Phat, you and i both know that the media is easily manipulated and that you never get teh whole truth.

I ahve family living in Tel Aviv right now... the only way to get the whole story is to be immersed in the problems.They see, with alarming regularity such unspeakable acts from both sides that the western media never rpesents to us... they have not seen soldiers brutally slaughtering any children,a t least not intentioanlly (after all, isnt "freindly fire losses" acceptable with americans?) tehy HAVE seen however, Palestinian's using children as a human shield to and intentionally bringing them into the line of fire...

So much for wht we see in teh media, eh?

2 things.. we were just about OUT of debt (at least the country was making money for once, the deficit was falling, we were paying off the debt) until Bush came in and instituted a 3 trillion dolla a year DEFICIT INCREASING economic plan...

second.. notice how we have been 'escilating' the 'threat' ? I mean, you guys are talking about 4th of July 2002, and it's Feb 2003 and the gov increased the warning and had the media saying 'gov officials are pretty certian something will happen this week'.. bah.. nothing heppened..

another interesting note.. Some NEWS orginization in NYC put a bunch of taped up boxes (kind of like what you would see if someone was parking, oh... I don't know.. a HUGE car bomb?) in cars and parked them in various places in the city.. and watched.. One of the cars was in a NO PARKING ZONE for 30+ hours.. WTF? Yeah, our officials are really on 'alert'.. how do you not notice a potential car bomb in a no parking zone for over a day? Some of these cars were right in front of buildings (busy buildings) and all that happened was the car was eventually towed.. not investigated, not checked with dogs.. nothing.. just hooked up to a tow truck and hauled away..
