Well Ranger here we go again, Worldcom and Xerox, boasting profits that they never had. I have never and probably will never invest in the stock market for that one simple reason. I would rather just save my money invest it into something that is guaranteed to return money or benefit me in someway. I would much rather buy a piece of land or a house, than to invest in the stock market. Too many crooks out there, stockbrokers included. Believe me, I have been on commission before, your job is to sell, you tell people whatever it takes to get paid. Of course, I only sold shoes, I would never take on a job that would financially hurt somebody. I work for the Scripps Howard company, and I don't even invest in the company stock, nor the 401K plan. I put $100 a month aside and I don't touch it. People are going to be people, money is everything to people, therefore greed will always play a major role. The stock market is only going to get worse, they are just starting to uncover the beginning. I've always said if I became a millionaire, I wouldn't be greedy, I would stay simple, drive a simple car, have a simple house. I don't need anything fancy. I'm not the type of person, who needs to show off by what I have, no need to impress anybody with material things. People either like me for what I am or they don't like me at all, I leave it at that. But speaking of having money, If I did have money, I would like to build a shop where I could fix and restore cars, then give them away to people less fortunate, that are struggling with a car payment or whatever. My dad is a mechanic, and I know some things, but not much. I have always been interested in cars, but never really spent anytime learning about mechanics. Anyhow, that's my deal I gotta get ready to work, gotta pay the bills somehow.
