Hey everyone, Just wondering? wuts your opinions on US Acoustics amplifiers? Looks really reliable and well built if you ask me. I really like the USX1000D. Are they a good company? And do they putout their rated power? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks

Dude what are you paying? if its 419 or equal trash that idea, add just 150 bucks and you could go to woofersetc.com and get a mmats 1500d or at the same price get a 1000d that will put that thing to shame. I will tell you its not worth that much money for sure! you could go to etronics.com and get two profile ap1000m's for 99.00 a piece that are TRUE POWER and slam like a mother, I am sure would beat that us acoustics also if you have the ability to run mutiple amps and achieve a 2 ohm load at each one. My verdict, trash the US.

From what I've heard they indeed are well built - some, if not all are built by Zed Audio. Underrated. SD sells them right? I would check and see if they have that model and get a warranty with it. And I would take a US Acoustics over a Profile any ole day of the week for sure!!!!

The older models were built by Zed Audio. But that was a while ago. For quite a few years now they have not been Zed Audio built amplifiers.

However....they are still great budget amplifiers, IMO. Put a USX4065 in my buddy's truck. I've never seen a bench test on them, and I know there are some individuals who question if they put out rated power or not. But, they are sorta like Profile...if they don't put out exactly rated power, they will come very close. For the price, they are well built and do put out good power. That 4065 has been rockin' in my buddy's truck for close to 2yrs now without a problem. Functioned as designed aswell...no setup issues or little annoyances like you sometimes get with budget equipment. Great amp for the $50 he paid for it BNIB off of a F/S forum.

i also ran a 4065 and it was honestly one of the better 4-channels i have ran. i did see a bench test on it awhile ago and did something like 70 watts a channel. not underrated but definately not overrated.

I've used one in a couple of different applications. No complaints. Every benchtest I've seen has had them putting out basically rated RMS power. Often a bit over, sometimes under by a hair, but generally right around right.

Can't go wrong if you get a good price. They run real cool, and real steady.

He may still have some of the older models that he built around for sale.

Hell, there for a while he had a deal going on his website that if you bought one of his new Zed Audio amplifiers, he'd send you a US Acoustics model of your choice for free (from the models that he designed).

I love my super trusty US Acoustics 2075 (ZED designed)

 

and the 600F that I had years ago was also ZED, both make more power than ratted and both are clear sounding and easy to use
