UPS is comming soon with my new order...dont you love it when you get the brown truck stoppin at your place...i mean more heads turn at who is getting what from the brown truck then more heads turning on your ride on 22's..lol...i guess good things come in small packages..brown packages...any way i am getting some old new stuff...its a pioneer ipod adapter..the IB100...not IB100II...my HU is a pioneer 2005 model so i have to go with the older ipod adapter so it will match up nicely...1 question i have about this ipod in the car...playing songs from the ipod in your car...will you lose some sound quality?? or is it better to just play CDs...but Cds only have like 16 songs as to ipods like 15,000....just that the ipod has to run songs through more wiring..i am guessin you would lose some sound quality...thanks

gotta disagree with the ups truck getting more heads, cause i snap necks, and i got 18's:)

as far as going thru the adaptor, nah you won't lose any quality or as far as i could tell. highs are still clear and bass still hits hard and another plus is when you get real loud , it won't skip:)

alal in all i hope you like it

thanks guys i appreciate the help...cant wait to get started on that ipod install..gotta wait till friday or monday when UPS arrives....whats the bitrate on Cds if i imported songs from CDs to ipod??

you can choose the bitrate depending on your recording or file trnsfr services/programs. I record everything in 256Kbps to save the sound quality (even tho its compressed in MP3 format) then I will convert it to a lower bit rate to trnsfr to my MP3 player (saves space on my 1GB mini SD card-- I like the ease of use of AUDACITY...but you MUST get the software add on called "LAME"--if you try to convert without it, it will give you an error message with reference to this software. Just toss it in the same program folder on your C drive.

I dont do no stinkin' IPOD! LOL... I use an old RIO Cali that I LOVE! You arent going to get the best sound quality anyways so why worry..its like XM or SIRIUS satellite radio -- lots of variety-- poor sound quality.
