What sub will you be running this with?

I'm curious as I'm looking at getting 2 of these and strapping them or just getting the 3000d or a couple other options to run 2 of the Fi Q 15's.

Everything is installed, I just have to go out to the shop and get the amp hooked up and throw it on the Term-LAB. 141.1db is the current shop record on music (2 BM's and a RE35.1 amp), hopefully we can beat that by a few db's with the SD.

Well I just got back from the shop. We got the new SD hooked up and decided to go for the shop record tonight. Not only did we break the current shop record on music, but we DESTROYED it. In order to set a shop record, you must make a run and back it up w/ a 2nd run within 20 minutes. For a score to count you can't lose more than 1 db from 1st run.

Stats

1st run:

Song: Young Jeezy "Hypnotize"

14.4v dropping to 13.5v

2 dvc4 SI BM's in 4cf @ 32hz w/ 64in of port area

SAZ-1500 @ 1 ohm

First run score: 145.7db!

Backup Run:

Song: Young Jeezy "Hypnotize"

14.4v dropping to 13.1v

Same sub/box/amp setup as before

Backup run score: 145.1db!

All this was done ON MUSIC, no bass track or test tones!

Overall, we got around a 4db gain out of the new Sudown and a little tweaking. There's tons more in it also, we didn't push it close to the limit. I think with some tuning and tweaking we can get close to 150db on music out of a single Sundown saz-1500/2 12" setup. Videos of the runs will be up tomorrow sometime. Big props to Jake and the whole Sundown family!

I think we're going to be picking up another one eventually and strapping them on the BM's till they pop, which should be about 45 seconds or so. We need an excuse to splurge on some new subs:evil:.
