Upgrading System, Suggestions?

:thumbsup:I will be upgrading the sound system on my Ford Expedition this summer and I am looking for suggestions (Third row seat will be removed). What subs would be recommended? I only want two 12’s. I’m willing to do big 3, upgrading wire, changing sub amp, and getting a custom made box. I was looking into the Super Bass Probox prefab as a possibility as well? I’m not a one genre kind of guy. I constantly listen to different music and I like the bass to punch. I’m not so much into the really long, low bass as I’ve seen in car shows. What should my box be tuned to?

Your feedback is greatly appreciated

Current System

2 12 CVX (DVC 4ohm)

Powerbass ASA 1500 Amp (1 ohm stable)

3rd row Downfire prefab box (tuning unknown)

AudioControl Epicenter

P5000 Pioner Headunit (With Digital Equalizer)

Yellow Top Optima Battery

4 Gauge Wire (Battery to Amp)

Powerbass ASA 800 (For Door Speakers)

4 Kicker DS speakers (35 RMS)
Thanks I will look into the SSA. Would I have to upgrade my amp for the Icon?

Any reputable custom box builder you know in Atlanta area?
No,but there are plenty of reputable box builders on this forum I just got a box built for me for relatively cheap from @ssteele18

Get a Critical Mass UL12. Or anything Sundown. Sundown FTW.

People around here tend to do 3 things. 1. Anything Sundown, don't ask why. 2. Most anything Kicker, very good musicality. 3. Read any one of the 18539945 posts from the past 10 years that pop up when the search function is used that answers this question.

You would think sundown is the greatest stuff ever as much as it gets recommended. They make good products not great. Kicker has good musicality? Still waiting to hear that personally.

A dual sub box is a box for two subs.

Was it a dual sub box?... how much after shipping if you don't mind me asking?
Yes it was dual sub box.130 bucks shipped to my door and a better deal cost wise than that pro box.You can also try TE Customs on Georgia Car Audio Classfields on Facebook. When you get to the page just click "Add To Group" he's a little more pricier but he's in the Atlanta area.

Thanks a lot, you have been very helpful. $130 sounds more than awesome to me.

I've seen you in many threads. What would you recommend? I'll probably do a 600 budget just on subs. How would you compare the SSA Icons, Scar VVX's, and Sundown SA's?
