I've not messed with my system in quite a while.

I have a decent Sony Xplod stereo that I hate because I hate anything with Xplod on it, but it's been a decent stereo to me.

I honestly cannot remember the model, but it's nothing fancy but it's a 2008 model and has the basic features but nothing to really help fine-tune my system or my subs. I mainly just have Low Mid and Hi settings to increase or decrease by certain amounts of dB.

I've got 2 10" Kicker Comp subwoofers which I really love because they're nothing too much but they are enough for me. I have them in an older Cavalier and it's perfect for what I need for the time being, although I did get a new Kenwood 1000W amp and have been trying to fine-tune it and get the settings perfect for me.

It seems music like Kanye West or something with that type of genre hits really hard and sounds amazing, but music like A Skylit Drive or Post-Hardcore music like Oh Sleeper and A Day to Remember and harder music like that just doesn't sound right. I'm going to continue messing with the amp since I know I just have to get the settings perfect, but I was considering purchasing a new cheap stereo but was wondering if that would be the best route for me to take?

I found a nice Kenwood that I like that has a lot more features than I have and have settings for a Low Pass Filter on the stereo which I don't have as well as other controls specifically for my subs which I don't have either.

Here is the stereo I was interested in:

It's nothing special, but it does has more features than what I have and I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to get a new stereo even though I have a fairly decent stereo.

I think my Stereo is a Sony CDX-GT120, but I am not positive but I am pretty sure that's what it is. In fact, I'm about 99% that's it.

What do you guys think? Would the added features make enough difference to merit me purchasing it?

If not, and I stick with what I have and get my settings fine-tuned better with my new amp, what about getting new speakers for the front and rear?

In the front, I have 2x 3 1/2" Kicker KS350s and in the rear I have 2x Q-Power 400W 6"x9"s I believe. They're about four years old or so and that's the only thing I haven't really upgraded.

I was considering to start getting all new Fosgate stuff, and was looking into the Fosgate Punch P132s for the front to replace the Kicker KS350s, and then replace the Q-Power crap with Fosgate P1692s

In the end, what do you guys think from these options?

I'd love to have all new speakers since I feel my subs are good and my amp is great but the rear speakers are old and the front speakers I don't think are good enough quality to really merit them being pushed or producing enough quality sound.

I would really like a new stereo but I feel if I purchase the Kenwood that I like I will be wasting money if it's not an actually good investment compared to what I have.

I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
