Upgrading electrical

First off let me tell you what I eventually plan to install within the next couple of months. I'll have 2 Orion 2500d's powering 2 '06 15"XXX, 1 Zed Audio Deuce powering a pair of Boston Z6's, and probably another pair of components since front-stage will need to be upgraded to somewhat match all the bass lol.

So how many amps on my alternator do I need? I'm not concerned with price too much as long as its not rediculous. Also where are some good places to look to get a HO Alt. I've heard a lot bout ppl running Irragi Alt's, I was thinking maybe getting a 280 or 300amp from him, would that be good?

Also need ppl to recommend me some batteries that would be good to run.

300 amp HO alternater, big 3 in 1/0 or higher, optima redtop under the hood, optima yellowtop in the trunk, at least 1/0 gauge wire all around. and if i were you i would go with only 1 xxx and strap both 2500d's or get 1 more powerful amp for it.. i heard they need about 3kw to really get going.

Two sets of components up front will sound muddy. I was contemplating doing a dual mid-bass set-up with my Z6's and a set of XXX mids but decided against it after discussing it with some people on this forum.

As for upgrading your alt, there are a few sites online that I can think of off hand. You may also want to considering buying an Optima Yellow Top and doing the big 3 first before upgrading your alt.

i would think that with 2 2500d's that a big *** ALT would be a must

Yeah I know I will need the big 3 in 1/0 gauge along with a huge alt, I'm leaning towards 300, unless ppl think I could get by with a little less. I wouldn't feel safe giving 1 xxx 5000watts, I'm not saying it couldn't handle it, but I would feel much better with 2500. From what I've read 2500 should seem fine to power it, I know i could get a little more out of it with 3000 but I think 2500 will get it moving plenty. 2 15 xxx's with 2500 a piece should get hella loud, so I'm not worried if I'm losing a little bit by not giving them 3000 a piece.

weird I was contemplating the same thing. But if its not recomended I guess Ill have to go a different route. So you are saying if I want to install another pair of tweets or mids then you wouldn't suggest anything other than z6's?

two runs of 1/0 for power, ground back at battery when you get the alt, get a 300, and alo when you install it stand the paint off the brakets where it touches the engine for better ground. all ground in 1.0

I haven't heard a dual-mid set-up in person, but I've read and been told numerous times that it would sound muddy unless properly imaged/toned correctly.
If you want to put dual Z6's in each door, then more power to you. I think that one pair of Z6's properly crossed over, installed correctly and getting sufficient power is good enough for me. My thoughts on the install of XXX mids in addition to the Z6's was just to add some extra punch in the 58hz-200hz range.

Seems as if we think alike b/c that's exactly what I was looking to do. Adding components and whatnot would be the last step so the Z6's might be fine, I'll worry bout that later.

As for now, seems as if its going to be a 300amp alt. Now I just need to know what are some good places to get one from. How can I reach Dom Irragi (sp?) about purchasing one, I'm leaning towards buying one from him, unless ppl tell me otherwise.
