Short and sweet. I have 4 10" Memphis PR's... I want my trunk back! lol.

I like my current set up. I am more for SQ then SPL and my favoruite part of the setup is how much it moves you on lower frequncies. Which I am afraid of loseing with less cone area...

Should I get 2 DD 2512's or a single 3515/9115 or single/dual 9112's? I wan't to keep it on my Memphis 1000D (1100wrms @ 1ohm) so the 2 2512's are jumping out at me...

Oh and I choose all DD cause that is what my local delear has and I really want to support him.

EDIT: Current box is about 7ft^3 grosse 5ft^3 net tuned to 36 hz. I am also looking to tune lower in this upgrade (Fs on my subs was 33Hz and tuned a bit higher to help cone control in my beast of a car 2007 MGM). I was thinking around 3.5-4.0ft^3 net would be a nice downsize (even more with aero ports).

how many cubic feet is ur current box and what many do u want the new box to be? well either way 2 12s or 1 15 would be about 4cubes. id go with a single 15 probly, thats what i have

Edited first post.

I was thinking a 15 but 12's would let me go with a lower box (height wise) and I am afraid that the less cone area will take away from my favorite aspect of my stereo... how much it moves me. like with I crank some bass songs or some linkin park the entire car shakes me with it.

well if you decide to go with another brand let me know, i have one 12 that will give you an ultimate sq setup in very minimal space. > http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=338603
Thx but I would want more power then I have for a XXX.

I am not sure if this is a corrent assumption but...

8" = 50.26in^2 or 201in^2 for 4

10" = 78.5in^2 or 314in^2 for 4

12" = 113in^2 or 226in^2 for 2

15" = 176.7in^2

So if that is correct and the shaking factor is directly related to cone area then the following is true

4x10">2x12">4x8">15"

so If I want a smaller box I could do 2 12" or 2 8". 8" will give more flexibility I think and would look pretty cool. I held a 1508 yesterday and those things are beastly...

So assuming the above true... would 1508's run well on 275wrms? or should I do 550wrms into 1512's? or 550wrms into 2512's? dealer said the 1500's and 2500's are the same except the 25's have more power hanlding and higher spl. I am plenty happy with how loud my Memphis PR's are... just want a smaller enclosure that moves me the same as this one... Another possibility is get the 8's and if I am not happy with the power later upgrade to a 2000wrms amp or two 1000wrms amps...

Sum up:

4 8" 1508 w/ 275wrms or

2 12" 1512 w/550wrms or

2 12" 2512 w/550wrms
