Upgradeing

I dont think my t5-12's are loud enough anymore.

The box I am using is 3.5 cubes tuned to 32hz.

They are getting 1000rms-2000rms @ 2ohms from strapped amps.

This set up did 144.2 in Nov.

I want to get different subs. the box has to be the same size or is wont fit in the car.

My budget would be $600.

I am open for sugesstions.

I listen to everything, Rap, Rock, Hiphop, Jazz, Techno bass, Classical. and I like it loud continuously.

The speakers I use are listted in my sig. They produce decent midbass.

I will get more speakers and midbass if needed to match whatever subs I get. So, any sugesstions. The following subs have been mentioned to me:

MTX9500series T9512-04 (x2)... probly wont be able to fit 2 in the trunk. so it might get 1 T9512-44.

Soundstream SPLX 12's

Any other sugestions.

2000rms is not enough?...

I might want a third battery and a high output alternator... but like I said, I am used to it and want it louder

putting a 15 in there might be a challenge. I think I only have 16 1/2 height space but the real problem is putting the box in the car

Build the box in car? That an option? And the 1-2k range of power...is that power per sub or total?

If you're looking for louder, it might not hurt to try a 15. As much power as you have thrown to a power hungry sub might get you the results your looking for. I've seen pretty impressive scores on here from 1 15.

To even hear a difference you going to need upwards of a 3db gain, so you really aren't going to do audibly better with another set of twelves.

Well, I guess you guys are suggesting that "one" 15 is going to be louder than two 12's... ? I guess I will have to figure out if I have the room for a 15. It was a pain in the *** putting these 12's in there.

So, If I put a 15 in there which one should it be?

I been looking at the MTX 9500 series. What is your take on the MTX's

I could do two 12's, But the displacment might be way too much. So I would end up having to just do one.

In that case I might as well settles for the 15, easier to work with since these subs have deep mounting dept and a greater displacment that my current subs.

Any other recomendations. perhaps the XXX 15 soundstream? Show me a good deal on those...
