Upgrade from a Rockford Fosgate 801S punch?

My question is this - I've got a Pioneer 3002SPL and the RF definitely gives it plenty of juice, I even leave the gains turned down.

If I bought a nicer amp though - would the sub sound better? and if so by how much?

I would only want to upgrade if it's really going to make a difference..

what rms does the pioneer take and how much is it being given with the RF?

yea im not really talking about power...

im asking how much of a difference does clean power give? like a better manufacturer.

any case amp does 900rms @4 - pioneer takes about 1000rms
