currently have a 12w7, but have been debating on going with something a little more powerful. i know i could get a 13w7, but not sure how big of a step up that would be? what are some other brand subs on the market in the same ballpark with the performance of a 12w7 sound quality wise and overall output? i need something that can handle up to 1400 watts at 2-4 ohms. any suggestions?

btw, leaning towards keeping a single sub setup, but wouldn't rule out using two.

Well I have a sub that is 1200 Watts RMS...you can look at Power Acoustik. They have some nice subs that are very powerful. I really dont know many subs that are 1400 Watts rms but there's a lot of brands that have subs that can hit that hard but yeah...

You could pick up an old style RE Audio XXX 15. It will take the power and as the abilty to get very loud while sounding exceptionally good.....and i think there are a few for sale in the classifieds right now

edit: look at SI Mags..SS RLPS... and many others

I think if you upgrade your front stage with a deticated 7" or 8" mid-bass driver, you'll be more then satisfied with the sub you have now. Having plenty of mid-bass upfront enhances the sub-bass.
