understanding Ohms Question..

I want to understand this, and im tryin real hard.

so i have a question.

say for example a 4 channel amp that can run at 2 ohms stable or w/e..

say i had a bunch of 8 ohm speakers.

if i connected them in parallel the ohms would get lower and my amp goes into protect.

if ran in series the ohms (resistance?) would be so high that it would work.. but like no power would actually get to the speakers because of all the resistance... d

do i have kinda the right picture?

thx

and yes, if you run in series, the ohm will keep going up lol. just wire 4 of them per channel, depending on what you have.

are they pro audio speakers? lol

ok my plan came from when i was audio retarted. i got 3 surround sound's setting around.. like 15 speekers lol. and i wanted to hook up at least 2 per channel so 10 and amplify it for my home surround sound. and my amps hooked up to ac with a power supply. i hooked up a bunch of speakers i while ago and when i turned up the volume a bit the whole power supply shut off. i figured it was the power supply not having enough power to run all the speekers. but im tryin to see if the ohms principal is right saying i couldnt have done it either way..

if each channel can be run at 2 ohms, you can wire four 8 ohm speakers per channel (in parallel), and each channel will be at 2 ohms.
