Or just go with a CSS SDX15, which is basically a Brahma, only better. And currently in production. And cheaper than the Brahma ever was.
edit: oops the OP wants an 18... neither the Brahma nor the SDX come/came in an 18" version.
Kevin from DIYCable/Exodus just got the first shipment of Maelstrom-X's. Those who pre-ordered will have their drivers shipped out on Monday. It is currently the best option for what you are seeking, in my opinion.

Old Crystal Audio speakers do not = an underhung 18". Not to mention that eD is parading themselves around as an expert XBL^2 re-coner now-a-days. Strike one and strike two do not equal a home run in my book. But wait...eD sees their "technology" being superior to anything else (XBL^2, LMS, etc), so I suppose I am the one that's lost in the loop.
Sorry guys, late night posting and me not putting up with manufacturers BS doesn't work out.
Speaking of which, who has heard of HAXO? IIRC, what happened there? eD bought out old stock of HAXO drivers? Who was HAXO? I've never heard of them and I've been around for longer than Ben has.

+1 (+2 actually). If you're after linear BL (and lots of other linear things like Le, parameters, etc), and you have enough room for a big box (I'm assuming you do because you're asking about an 18" subwoofer), then anything Exodus is right down your alley.
