I've been looking for a pair of high excursion/low distortion 18s... the Ascendant Audio Havoc is at the top of my list at the moment... but I'd prefer an underhung or XBL^2 type sub...

any suggestions...

Have you looked at the Exodus Maelstrom-X? Seems to be in the preorder stage, but they're XBL^2, 33mm xmax.
