hey guys how is it going? well i recently bout at a tradeshow some neon tubes. the guy sold it for 15 bucks so how could i resist. Anyways it came with the tubes, harness ( to attach to car), remote with 12v plug. (has different modes for the lights). and some wire.

My question is as follows.

1- the remote has plugs one says 12v. i know what thats for but the other says tr1 and tr2. Whats is this for?

2 - i seem to be missing this thing called the transformer. could i use an inline fuse instead.

3- anyone got a site that gives a general description on how to install this?

thanks in advance guys

Neon lamps need high voltage. The 'transformer' is a converter that boosts 12v up to what the neons need. The ones I've installed had the transformer inside the tube assembly. Gotta have dat.

Streetglow has the blue series (the built in transformer ones) and the Gold Series (seperate).

Worse that can happen is that the neon doesn't do anything, might just want to test it.
