@keep_hope_alive not trying to grave dig but how was the spl side of the sub in a ib?

I really liked the sub in IB. I was able to smell the coil when running hard on an RF 800a2 bridged for 800W RMS @4 ohm. But the sub sounded clean.

Okay thanks think you would need much cld for rattle with 2 of these in a ib roughly 500 watts together @keep_hope_alive

I am a firm believer in CLD and I also use UltraTouch insulation all cavities and MLV for noise isolation.

Well I know you do. I have seen your great build logs. But i have a pretty quiet cabin at the moment no road noise and such. I was going to properly treat the trunk rear deck and doors. I was just wondering if it was going to cause excessive vibration in the cabin where I need to treat the cabin as well.

The key to successfully implementation of IB is rigidity of the wall and surrounding areas. 100% is common on metal surfaces nearby to ensure seals and low resonance - the rear deck is the biggest issue. The wall should be thick, 2" or more.
