Boss Pyramid and Pyle are probably the three cheapest companies I can think of.

But as far as Kicker>alpine>hifonics? type stuff goes it's not so cut and dried. Some brands have a good line and a bad line. I'm sure this sub could out perform some alpines.

they are d2 and get a amp on here that will do a good bit of power at 2 ohms.

talking about you getting a pair of them or if you want just one then get an amp that does that at 1 ohm
