I'm pretty sure that is a transmission line enclosure, not vented. T-lines usually use about 50-150% or more of the sub's SD for the cross sectional area of the line. The larger you go, the smaller the bandwidth of the line though and the more upper frequency harmonics you get. You do get more output around line tuning though.
