Rampage was playing it smart by letting Forrest come in and trying to stay away from the leg kicks. Rampage was clearly dominate when he was in close and counter striking. After the 2nd round the leg kicks weren't even affective and when rampage was on top and not doing anything that should have counted as points then too. Rampage landed the power shots and was way more accurate.

I think forrest knew he was gonna have to stay active and away from Rampages big power punches. Rampage was always just one shot away from putting forrest's lights out and I thought he was gonna get KO'd a couple times.

Funny thing is that not once did i think rampage was in trouble, even when he was on his back..

Honestly I would, but he didnt win the fight...Im not a rampage fan at all, his stand up is his best skill, and i like ground fighters but, whats right is right, and Forrest DIDNT DO ENOUGH TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP, maybe in a undercard match yes, but not for the title

I'll admit when I first heard the fight was gonna be for the title I thought that there were guys out there that had been fighting longer and faced more and better opponents than Forrest that probably deserved a shot first.

Can someone please tell me what the hell rampage did during this fight that made him win... He knocked forrest down once thats it!!!! If rampage wanted to win then he should of stepped up and pushed the fight more instead of waiting for forrest to come to him...

Is everyone that is whining about rampage Black or is it just me?

Funny thing is that not once did i think rampage was in trouble, even when he was on his back..

he was in trouble a few times that round when he almost fell over on his own.

able to get away from several submission attempts

and in turn ate elbows and fists

He never looked "Rocked" by an punches, but the leg was hurt and the triangle was close. Rampage was the more powerful, better puncher by far.

Edit: I shouldnt say better puncher, he was the stronger puncher

I'm not....I actually really like Forrest and didn't like Rampage until I saw him on the show. I just don't think Forrest won, but owell.

He did what the champion is suppose to do, make the other fighter beat you, Ur not suppose to go all out if your the champ thats how u get k.o'ed in the first round..Forrest didnt do enough to win, period, other then round 2 he didnt do Sh!t...

that slam did more than the choke and the decision was lame..if they are going to score it like that they should just put on head gear and put sensors in the gloves LOL reminds me of the Hammel-Bisbing fight...cheeseyyyyy also going to be real intresting how the UFC applies (if they even decide to) the new universal rules...if they don't there will be far less cross competition and it will kill the sport like no Fedor Emelianenko vs Couture because of the UFC monopoly contracts

You should not be able to out-point a champion to win a title. That is what happened tonight. Not attempting to finish for 2 1/2 rounds is unacceptable to win a unanimous decision in a title fight IMO. All griffin did in 4 & 5 was avoid a counter-puncher while getting cut and rocked numerous times in the process. I still believe it a draw. Neither did enough to win, and in that scenario the champ retains the belt

Name one kick or punch Forrest threw that knocked Rampage down? Zero. Did Rampage have any visual damage? No. Forrest had two seperate cuts. One above his eye was fairly bad
