Speaking of that fight, when is it? Can't wait for that one.
To Meka, that is your opinion. GSP is one of the better mat guys, and Penn is too, but I believe GSP could take him.

That is my opinion, so take it however.
Not to be a prick but its really not just an opinion. Penn has some of the best take down defense and is a BJJ blackbelt. He has transitioned his bjj to mma very well. That being said GSP is alot more explosive and has tons of cardio. It would be fun to watch at least:D

I love how people say "Penn has no chance of beating GSP" like they have as much training as either one of them. The skills both of them have are very good and Penn also has SICK flexibility. The fact is that in a UFC fight anyone has a chance. Who thought Jardine would beat Lidell? With two people as skilled as Penn and GSP anything can happen. No one is invincible.

The reality is .All the fighters at that level are decent to beat one another. It comes down to dedication, training, and skill, according they must have cardio, and styles make fights so some one who can beat this fighter cant beat that one.

i really think this penn/st pierre fight will happen. once bj knocks off huerta/florian winner he will have no other competition in the division unless they bring someone else in. and really who does GSP have left if and when he beats fitch?

and this match could def go either way. i am a huge st pierre fan and still think there would be a good chance of him losing to penn. i am willing to bet that there would be even odds on this fight.

and for those that dont know they have already fought with st pierre winning a split decision.

side note......that was a hell of a win for wanderlei.......he is definitely one of the most entertaining fighters out there.

and the tito/machida fight to me was so boring........i was really hoping for tito to lose just because i dont care for him, and i understand that machida stuck to his game plan and fought a very technical fight while doing the most damage and recieving no damage. but with his style it is going to be hard IMO for the UFC to market him. yes, he is undefeated but 8 of his 13 wins have come from decisions. i know the hardcore fans love seeing the technical fights, but the casual fan is going to grow restless watching this guy fight. they want to see fighters trying to end fights, not trying to "not lose". i was really hoping at the end he would have tapped when he was in that triangle!!!!! hopefully they pair him with someone like wanderlei next to see how he fights when the pace is pushed.
