Do you really think his 25K for a fight is more than what his mechanical engineering degree pulls in?


First of all Wikipedia isnt a great place to get info from, anyone can edit it. Second of all it proves exactly what I said.

That part right there tells you MMA is a second job. His real life job comes first.

25k for ONE fight is alot of money and i bet with the what 2 fights this year or 3 i can't remember...he pulled in some nice chunks of change, ontop of that i'm sure he was getting knock out of the nights in each of those, considering he's never went into the 2nd round. I'm not a Lesnar fanboy nor a Carwin fanboy...but i predict Lesnar to goto sleep or atleast it'll be a TKO late first round...early 2nd round. I don't think Brock has ever been hit by anything close to what Carwin has behind his fist.

Even if he got KO of the night 3 nights out of the year and pulled in 60K from each of those. 180K is nothing compared to a poor mechanical engineer. My wifes step dad just took a 1/3 pay cut in the worst economy in the US and he still pulls in 175K as a plain old engineer.

25k is not a lot of money for a fight. The ufc is infamous for not paying shit to fighters. Mayweather and oscar both pulled in over 30 mill a peice for there superfight, tyson was making 20 mill a fight in the early 90's. Carwin is making 40k for this fight and thats it, now after his ppv cut and all the back room bonus's i'm sure he will see 200k plus but compared to boxing these guys don't make anything.

i see it more as a.....1 night he makes 25k - 200k. or i dunno, as an engineer working 40+ hrs a week to make 175k. Now if we're comparing it to boxing then that's a diff story.

60K is as close to the cap of what he will make in 1 night. 200K in a night you can forget about it. Maybe in the entire year if he wins every fight and consistently gets knock out of the nights or submissions of the night.

If he beats lesnar ( who is making 1 million per fight,) Carwin will be 500K-750k per fight as well.. Heavyweights draw HUGE attention, especially athletic monsters like these 2

OK a little bit off topic, But Cris "cyborg" santos.. We all know shes a beast, and layed a beating on Gina Carano, but , WOW, Jan Finney takes probably the biggest beating Ive seen in MMA.. At least top 5 .. Hats off to this chick for getting the shit beat out of her..

haha true.. Cyborg came to a local gym in our city about a month ago, and a girl friend of mine trains there and she said cyborg was one of the nicest people shes ever met, sweet, helpfull etc etc.. and actually looks descent when shes dolled up , but shes still a weee bit manly

But We were with you, I counted 5 times that thing should have been stopped.. She had the heart but got completely outclassed by someone who I dont think anyone can beat.. for a while

And This isnt mir, randy or Heath.. this guy is as big and almost as strong as lesnar, and has the same abilities, AND he is also the best striker lesnar has ever fought as well.. If lesnar flops on carwin, dont expect him to stay there. Carwin is strong.. I have no idea why noone thinks carwin can get lesnar off him..
