two power cables?

can i run two separate power cables each to a dif. amp? ( 8agu) problem is ive got the power cable from my old system already and another power cable from a buddys system.

Yes you can....in your case it'd probably be easier to use a distro block though.....

well if you were going to run an 8gauge wire for each amp, combining that into 1 wire to a distro would require you to run 4 guage into a distro, getting the 2 8gauge feeds out of it.

ok... thats what i thought... so i guess ill go with two power then... cause i dont want to waste wire or buy new wire.

if it matters im runnin 1000 watts off of a number 8 and had no problems ever.....i dont pump my system hard though.

Do yourself a favor and fuse BOTH wires @ the battery. 50A each.

hmm, don't u have to buy th extra 8 guage wire anyways? if so, it might be more convenient to get 4 gauge n distro, with 2 8 gauge outputs. just a suggestion tho.

i dont have to buy anything extra... thats why im goin with 2 wires... and i know its better to go with 4 -distro- 8 ... but i dont want to buy more wire... maybe later tough...

that's coo, i thought u had to buy some more. but since you don't you dont' need to go the distro way, go ur way . have fun
