I m getting two alpine type r's 12 inch for 150 dollars. i was wondering if this is a good deal. Also i was wondering what i should get for an amp.Are these good subs ,what would you give them for a rating. Do they pound hard. please help da war vet.

i'd skip that deal and go for the 1242s. those are the 05 models. major upgrade from the 1241s. and no u dont need a cap dammit

Im not talking from experience, but from reading and doing a forum search: The BIG 3 wire upgrade would seem to be the 1st thing to do. If that doesnt work then look into a new battery and high ouput alt. My $.02

I'd spend the extra and go for the 2005-2006 models. The one's you're getting are the older models. Not speaking from experience, but the 05-06 models handle more power than the 04 and on.
