two 8s vs one 12?

could two 8's be as loud or louder than one 12? thinking of either getting two 8 inch vvx's or one 12 inch vvx and thinking of doing the two 8's to be original as ****. both would be in there perfect box the 12's box would probably be a little smaller. also tuned to around 31 hz and off 1000 watts

i'm also looking to get low which is why i choose skar. two 8's just seem cool because no one else has them i'd just want to know if they'd sound as good or better

The skar 8s can dig pretty low. No experience with the VVX 12s though. Honestly, for getting loud, I'd probably go with a 12. Unless you just want the "wow factor". the 2 8s can get decently loud...but I dont know if they would keep up with the 12.

i have a system with one vvx12 and it gets very loud. my friend has 2 compvr 12s and my single 12 gets just as loud as his 2 12s

if you have the space and money get 2 12s, i regret not doing so myself

I've got a single 15 and this thing destroys lows and plays musically like a champ, I can't really say which I'd rather have, my next build I'm thinking on running 4 vvx8's in a bandpass in my trunk just to see what it'd be like and to say they're 8's. I'm positive you'll be happy with both.

yeah thats the thing with the two 8's is just to say i have 8's. i thought two 8's would have more motorforce than one 12 though right? i don't have enough room for 2 12's or even 2 10's or else i'd do that

2003 mustang. i could probably fit two 10s but idk which ones i'd do besides maybe some DCONs

Get some maximum space measurements you'd be able to give up and someone here could give you an idea how many you could fit. (my box is like 3-4x bigger than recommended) it takes up my entire trunk haha but its awesome.

max i can willingly be able to go is 30 wide 11 high and 18 deep. now i'm either thinking of getting an ssa ICON or an spg555 since theyre around the same price

buy a better 12 than, two 8's will cost more than the single 12 of the same brand. If you buy an evenly priced 12 compared to the two 8's it will hands down be better.

yeah i was just thinking that. thinking of getting an icon now because they seem pretty nice idk how much of an upgrade it'd be. main reason i was thinking skar was because i like the lows like the real lows
