two 8's or one 12?

well now i'm thinking about doing 2 10 inch dcons off an mb quart onyx 1000.1. tuned to around 31 hz probably would that be louder and get lower than the 12 you think?

Here is the issue you are going to run into with these questions. There is no way any of us can say yes/no on them. Will there be a difference? Yes. Will it be louder? No one will ever know. Should you do it? That is up to you.

Personally, as with others saving your money and buying other items to improve your setup is a better option. Simply replacing it with other product of the same level will get no better results overall.

yeah thats a good point. i'm pretty sure i'm running the most watts i can without having to upgrade my electrical too much and if i get a bigger amp i'd have to probably at least at another battery and the sundown gets pretty loud off 1000 watts so i guess i was just seeing if 2 subs would be better than one in this case

am i alone on this or does NO ONE understand motor force??? two 8's would have MORE motor force, more coil moving. yes less cone area but this is NOT a spl build. honestly getting any type of box to fit in your trunk any bigger than 3ft^3 is a ***** due to the small opening, unless you take out your back seats and slide the box in through there.

My bro did a 15" sub in a 4 cub box in his 97 mustang without having to build the box in the trunk he just slid the box in from the back seats instead of trying from trunk... it fit perfect and sounds amazing... with sub up port back

the 97 and the 2000+ are not the same body style, definitely worth measuring first. I have owned BOTH body styles and neither one was very accessible, Mustangs are notorious for their prohibitively small trunk openings.

I've done that, but the opening is still not very large... it all depends on the exact dimensions of the box.
