Two 18'' RD Alphas

My current setup consists of one 18'' alpha and a hifonics BXI 2608D. I have another alpha that i will be adding here pretty soon. Question is which amp to power them. They are dual 2 ohm subs that i want to wire down to .5 ohm load. I am very interested in a RD HW 9.0 but i do not know where to get one. If anyone can recomend a different amp that will do rated power that would be good. Electrical will consist 2 runs of 1/0awg. and a few batteries(not sure how many or what kind) and ofcourse big 3 and eventually bigger alt.

Is this for comp, or daily. It can be done, but I don't think it would be a good idea to run below 1 ohm for daily.

im trying to get atleast 2500-3000 wrms to each sub. The 3Kd only puts out 3k right ? and is it .5ohm stable ?

mainly daily i might enter it a few times just to see, but that wont be untill its complete. but the hifonics is a class D one channel but has two pos. and neg. speaker terminals for ease of multi speaker hookups ( as stated in manual ) does that mean two subs wired to 1ohm would make a 2ohm load or stay a 1ohm load. i ask becasue alot of one channels i have been looking at have the same thing.

Yes, if one sub is at one ohm, and the other is at one ohm (not wired together), the amp will see a two ohm load if you use each set of the positives and negetives for each sub. My suggestion would be to find 2 SAZ-3kd's and strap them. Then you will have 6k wrms at 2 ohms.

Well, mine are at about half gian and I'm only using one Yellow Top in the back with a 240 amp alt, but thats definately not enough. But I am getting 2 9a31's today, and I have a 290 amp alt on the way.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif And the YT will go under the hood...I'd say no less that two g31 batts with a ho alt and the big 3.

And ya that's my current setup. It gets pretty loud. Im tearing it all out this coming week though, decided I wanted a wall until my next upgrade.

How does the amp fair at .5 daily? I'm thinking about picking up 2 more DP's, but they would have to be d2's since that's what the two that I have now are.

i got that alpha from snb and i think he got it from mazzasec, looks like they are back together again lol
