Two 15"s upgrading/downgrading to one 15"

What's up ca.com? Right now I'm running two 15" Bostwick DCL's in a large ported box in the back of a Lexus LS400. This setup is loud but takes up too much space. My question is would one 15" Type R or L7 tuned low off about 1000-1200 rms be as loud or will I lose output? As some know, my gas tank is in the trunk behind a solid steel wall and it is hard to get this car loud. The only opening into the cabin is through the rear deck, where I took out the factory sub. Anyways somebody give me some one sub system ideas. Thanks.

Well I'm not familiar with your car but I do know that you will lose output when downgrading fro 2 15s to 1 15. Whats your budget? and do you want Sq or SQL or pure SPL? And what amp do you have?

I want SQL and I'm running a Lanzar Vibe 1200d. I was really choosing between an L7 or a Type R but if there is better for around $200 I will run it.

With a more powerful amp, and one of the many 'super' woofers out there, I would think that you could retain output while saving space.

My budget is about $200 for a sub, and didn't really want to upgrade my electrical. So ya'll are saying that if I give one 15" the same amount of power that I gave two 15'' it will still lose output? What about one 18''?

I found it. I like those, seems like their comparable to CVXs. So I might see if I can find either for cheap. I'm going to be upset if it isn't at least as loud as my current setup though.
