two 15" L7s with orion 2500?

You would be able to run it @ .5 or 2ohms. So it would be safe. But why pay that much money when you wont be using the full power output potential? You might be better off with a amp that can produce required power @ 2ohms, that is cheaper.

What do you recommend? Would I be better running 3 L7s with the orion 2500d?

Hes getting the used 2500d from ebay for about 300

Buy that F-er before I do lol. Hook it up @ 2ohms, have chinny set the gain with a DMM for the proper RMS on the L7's and bump away:D
He will run it at .5 and i will set the gain with a dmm to get around 1000w per sub, remember box impedance will play a role here + the stock electrical system he has.
