Two 12W6s vs Two 10W7s

Well i have a T1500 RF amp, i think it should be able to power them. Correct me if i am wrong.

over the two 12's W6's you think?

in my install, i had everything the same. same amp, same car, all i did was swap out the ported 12w6v2 for the 10w7 ported. the 81000d that i was using sent 1000wrms to the w6 and about 800 or so rms to the w7 and yes it was louder but not by much. now iam running the w7 on a fusion nvam2500d and its quite a bit louder. its seeing about 1200 wrms now. the w6 though wouldnt take any more power than the 1000 it was getting from the 81000d.

i take it that amp is 1ohm stable. if so then you should be good.

I love how people are soo mean. I don't understand that. He asked a question.. and people hate on him, call him ignorant for not going with something different. Maybe he got a good deal on the JL's. ever think of that.

I just don't understand why people bash on someone when they just ask a simple question on a forum. thats all.

anyways to the OP. system looks really good man. Nice work. I just got a 12w6 for free and threw it in my Chevy Truck and it sounds great. It is better than my RF Power T1 i think. I got 2 actually. but one is going in the boat i think.

you cant go wrong with either one.

jl makes a great product,yes a great product.

I say that because i've had somany different brands that dont last or like blown tinsel leeds, vioce coils that burn out from distortion.

I over power,or distored my w6 & it keeps going & going like a energizer bunny.

I think it has one of the best sounds of any one sub on the net like FI,RE,MACH,etc.

that i've heard. but it's no way a SPL sub,but it can get loud in the right box or car.

yes mine gets loud in my scion tc hatch which it can flex my side walls of my car.

but remember if your'e looking to get louder one 12w7 will be just then two w6, & yes i've heard this set up which surprised me.

the 10w7 will sound really nice as well, but i will not go as deep as the 12w6 more cone area.

I have just decided to keep the W6s and work on box design.

Is any one good at designing a box with a possible port to it?

if so i live in fairfield which isnt to far from you, you can come down to my place & we can try to put something together, I have the tools, you'll just need to bring the wood,glue,paint,carpet,etc....
