two 10's or one 12?

ive got an old xplod amp that ive had laying in my closet for a while so i wanted to see if i could use it with anything and ive found that these would suit it pretty well

the amp puts out 80x2

Those subs get pretty **** loud at 150w... I have some SHITTY subs, and was running them at 600w, and the Rockfords got louder, deeper, and more clear. (two 12'a)

Which amp is it? Do you have a model number?

Based on that limited info, I would recommend the two tens.

You should probably invest in a new amp, though.

its a 444 i am not sure of the exact model number right now, i do plan on getting a new amp down the road a little, or hopefully for Christmas, but i just want a little something for now

I had a similar debate.

I went with the 1 12" sealed over the two 10s. I didn't have any extreme SPL goals or the like...I just felt like the 12 would provide a better balance with my front stage....but mainly because I already have the 12.

With good install, the size and count of woofers is meaningless in most comparisons. I go for cost savings or ease of install, or "look pretty" or something.

I hear the P3's have greatly improved from 1&2

Keep in mind that two 10" drivers have roughly the equivalent cone area of one 15" driver.
