Two 10" CVX powered by HIFONICS 2005D?

Does the HIFONICS 2005D http://cgi.ebay.com/HIFONICS-BX2005D-2000W-RMS-CLASS-D-MONO-AMPLIFIER-NEW_W0QQitemZ9724081109QQcategoryZ18797QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem put out 2000watts +? Never used HIFONICS, if so, would they be louder than being powered with a Kicker KX1200.1?

lol ok... oh yea no that hifonics does not put out 2000 watts @ 1 ohm , i would honistly go with the kicker amp ... i have a hifonics and its great and all never skips out on me but i know it dosent do nearly its rated power //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

no it doesnt put out a true 2000 rms unless your electircal system is perfect. but im gonna say that it puts out more than the kicker amp. i would guess 16-1800 rms from the hifonics. the 1500s were definately overrated, so i understand your point about not thinking it does its power, but im gonna say the newer ones are less overrated based on an ear comparison i did with an RF amp.

either way i think both are way too much for a pair of cvr 10s. MAYBE you could give them like 600 rms.. but even that kicker will put our more like 750 to each, which i think is still a bit too much.

I'd take the Hifonics for those CVXs.

How much do you think the 1500D's put out @ 2ohms for real? The rated power @ 2ohms is 1000wrms

yeah some of em were bench tested at like 12-1300 @ 1 ohm.. so maybe 7 or 800 @ 2..

and i now realize that the previous post i made shouldnt be regarded too much as i thought the post said CVR not CVX.
