You gotta know people bro. And have good team mates that can help you out like this. I got both proto 5kws for myself and the 8kw for ole twisted.

To answer everyone for the confusion.

This amp is a lot more stable than what all of you think it is. Trust me.

I know it's not Gedun Audio because their internal capacitors are gold-colored.

It's not Phoenix Gold The One because it looks like this

If it's a proto amp then that probably mean he's gonna sell it after he beat it up lol.

If they knew how cheap that stuff was built they would understand why the sale price is so low... The real problem doesn't come in to play until it breaks and they cannot find anyone that wants to work on it.... That's the real problem. Why should I work on POS china amps when I got gazillion decent Korean amps to work on... I can't charge more for working on the China amps because people won't pay more, so they just get "left out" in the repair world... Better learn to fix the stuff themselves. That's what I would do if I was a regular "car audio guy" and limited (by initial purchase price) to the China amps....

Problem is once they learn about fixing amps themselves, they sell the China amps and buy Korean... LOL...

Well for about a year I couldn't find anyone who can repair my USA-2000X, finally found someone who's willing to do it but I got a botched repair and I had to pawn it off on eBay to recoup my loss, so that 100% US-made amp didn't help. Just learned that US Amps are willing to repair that thing recently but it's already gone so right now I'm kicking myself.

Just because I bought an AP30001D that doesn't mean I won't pay extra money to upgrade it and make it better. If $150 more can make it do 4kw then I would spend that money down the road when I need that much power, hell if someone can make me a frankenstein amp with two modified AP30001Ds put together and don't cost more than a grand for 7kw+ then I would pay for it.

Not everyone who buys cheap is a cheap azz ya know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif just new to the high-power game and don't feel like spending much if I don't like it down the road in case if I want to go fast instead.

Naw Dave I wasn't. I unfortunately had two blown amps when I did my run. I was only down by 2 db though. But I have played with this amp and the other version. The 5kw. I know what they can and cannot do.

To each his own. I know customers who buy Audiopipes, just because they want to prove it doesn't matter what amp you run and you can still be really loud, like take 1st at comps, with Audiopipes... As we all know an amp just moves the speakers.... Any amp will do. The problem is when they break and you can't find someone to fix it. Luckily though, for AP users, those amps are so cheap you just throw them away and buy another one, as long as people keep buying them, they will keep making them... unless an Earthquake or Tsunami takes out the factory, or some civil war, or you get the picture.... World is in turmoil, just enjoy what you got, may not have it forever.
