I was wondering is anyone familar with these amps. They started building car audio since 2002. I heard that these amps are well known in Asia. I bought one on ebay. It is currently hooked up to my PSB stratus mini(home book shelf speakers). I am using a Nakamichi mb-100 as the source unit. I think this amp retailed for around $700 USD. It comes in one of the high class looking aluminum(James bond type brief-case). This is the brief description from the owners manual"The preceding stage section of the designed of the amp uses a vacuum tube for low voltage amplication, the power supply is a mosfet tube double push-pull high-efficiency, high power inverted high frequency power supply, with 4-point current sampling, 2-point temperature sampling protection. The tm-s1 is a combine one of 4channel vacuum tube and mosfet tube, of wich the treble is sweet, true and natural in tone". I have been using the amp for about 3 weeks. It is definitely the best sounding amp I ever own. I have been into car audio since 1994. I have own many amps from ppi, RF, butler td1500, audio art, zapco, soundstream, phoenix gold, alpine, audison,denon, nakamichi,mcintosh, monitor 1,carver, HK, a/d/s, hifonics-zed, us acoustics-zed, sanyo, sony es,planet audio tube-zed, g&s design, orion, u-dimension,kicker, mtx, ect. All these were the old schoolers from the 90's. Here is my brief description of the way the amp sounds. It is neutral sounding, very good 3-D soundstaging and imaging, anbient and inner detail is superb(you can hear to singer breath), very transparent with excellent palpabilty. It also sound very refined and open. The amp has a very low noise floor. Which makes sound so pure, and clean. You can check out the pics in my photobucket album. I don't know how to attach images.
