Tweets in Kicks?

i have a 2006 honda civic with cdt components in stock location (midbass in door, tweets on dash near windshield). i have ordered a set of cdt 4in midranges and a set of cdt 3way crossovers. i have been told for good sound quality to bring the tweets and midranges to the kicks so they are in close proximity to the midbass in the door. now i have been told that for a good sound stage, i would want the tweets in the stock location. does anyone have input on this? would this decrease sound quality from what i have already. i know a badly staged 3way can sound worse than a properly staged 2way. thanks

i've seen a four way set up at an SQ comp. It included 8" and 6.5" in the kick, with a tweeter and another speaker (can't remember the name) up by the bottom of the A-pillars.

vertical seperation of mids and tweets in not hardly as bad as lateral (left/right) seperation. The only way to tell for sure is just try it.
