looking for 3/4 or 1" tweets. i think the ones that came w/ my RE 6.5s just arn't loud enough. i'll be giving them ~70 watts. i want a tweet that gets loud. i'm only lookin to spend ~$20-25. lets see what you guys got layin around

I got some Pioneer TS-T110 7/8" tweets I'll give you for $20 shipped. I still have the flush mount cups for them, so you'd be in good shape. They take 40w RMS, but just watch the gains on the amp and you'll be alright. Let me know!

how loud did they get?

i used to have some polk db tweets they were around 94db @ 1w/m and i wanna get something that screams like they did....

i noticed that the pioneers are only 90db...

They get good and loud if you give them the power. I would just be cautious about trusting some of the the sensitivity readings on those eBay auctions. Even Boston Acoustic's Neo Type-S tweets are only rated at 90dB. If you are giving these ~70w RMS, they will be loud for you. I noticed your other thread in Speakers referenced some Infinity tweeters. I'm not sure I'll be using the tweeters from my Reference 6000cs comp set. You be interested in those? Maybe I could trade for your tweets, if you have the flush mount cups and all.

i may be interested. i'm using the flush cup now. tweets are so ugly surface mounted!
