Hey guys I drive an 01 jetta and just wondering if you guys think it will sound better with the tweets in the doors next to the mids or up by the a pillar in the stock location.

Best thing to do is use double sided tape, and move the tweeter around till you find out which sounds better to you.

Then mount them there.

I just bought some Fosgate components and havent received them yet, but the manual mentions that if you do install components in the car door, try to put the tweeter 2in or less directly ABOVE or BELOW the mid if possible for best sound

I would go with redneck's idea, it's your car - you have to listen to it every day, you need to do what sounds best to YOU. People even mount tweets in the A pillar, crossfiring across the window.

I got some Fosgate Power Comps and my instructions mention the same thing, but its going to be up to you. I personally like the sound of them right next to the midrange, but thats after I had expermented quite a bit.
