Hey everyone Im new to the forums, my name is Forrest. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I came here in need of some straight answers, because all the ones I get from the local shops are all different ones. here is what Im trying to do:

I have a conversion van, and Im trying to put my 22 inch Samsung 226bw syncmaster computer monitor in place of my van's existing TV. I also want to hook my XBOX360 up to it as well, it doesnt have to be hooked up simultaneously, but that would be ideal. Here is what I have so far as in getting this to work. I got this thing called a Grand Video Console, which basicly Im using it for a VGA to RCA converter. I plug the monitor's vga into the converter, then from that I plug it into a RF adapter via RCA cord. then into the RF adapter's COAX input I put the coax cable that ran cable to my van tv before. I know I need a power inverter but thats another story.

my question is what can I do to make this work? so far it doesnt look good but I thought I would come here and ask someone who knew more about it. I found this product: http://www.rfwel.com/shop/product.php?productid=116&cat=0&page=1

would this work better for watching tv channels on the road and hooking my 360 up to it? or what can I do?

also does anyone know what wattage power inverter I need for all of this?

I appreciate any help thrown my way, I know Im a newbie and all, but...I break in well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

this is a link to what i have already:

THANKS AGAIN!

You really need a TV with a video input cause a computer monitor without composite inputs just doesn't look good with that reverse scan converter. just go buy a small LCD and you wil be fine. You will also need a large power inverter for both devices

other than going any buying a tv, what can I do? I really need to know how to make this work, ive been told it can be done. getting a tv thatll fit is $300. really not what I want to do seeing as how I already have a $300 monitor.

i thought i would for sure get some better answers or at least more replies out of this message board. I read around in the different forums and there seems to be knowledgeable people here.

thanks anyways.
