Turning on the Alpine PXA-H800 DSP with the head unit?

I have an Alpine CDE-153BT head unit into an Alpine PXA-H800 DSP and as it is right now I have to turn on the DSP and associated power amps with the little controller thing for the Alpine DSP.

Any way to configure the DSP to turn on from the powering up of the head unit?

No ''remote in'' on the DSP ?

i assume you would have to wire the ''remote out'' of the HU to the ''remote in'' of the DSP....

Thanks, I think we have tried that. I will have to check. And I just emailed with my installer guy and he said that's the way we have it connected! But we still have to power up the DSP and amps with the RUX controller.

Does the DSP turn on when you activate the 'radio' function of the HU? If so then you taped the wrong blue wire...the blue/white turns on amps etc....you may have tapped the antenna turn-on wire.

If that's not the case then you did something else wrong...my Alpine HU activates my PXA when I turn it on (HU).

We must've connected the incorrect blue/white wire then! I will check with my installer guy next Tues when I go out there, and will email him, too!

You don't have to configure anything to remote turn something on....

Yeah, that's what I'd think too.

Now all we have to do is figure out why I'm getting this behavior out of a correctly wired PXA-H800 DSP!

flat out installer error sorry to say. It happens.

Should have gotten a HU with Ai-Net. Wouldn't have needed the remote.

My Alpine PXA-H800 DSP now TURNS ON AND OFF with my HU!! Amps do too!!

Must be that chicken I sacrificed!! ;-)
