Those gears are for the drivetrain. Also there is a way to combat run away cars. There are failsafe systems that you can buy. ONce you go out of range the failsafe sensore detects this and resets the throttle servo to neutral or whatever position you set it to be at so that your car stops. I have one of these in my boat. My neighbor next door to our cabin had a fast boat that had a high performance zenoah engine in it and water got on his electronics and he didn't have a failsafe unit, the boat took off with no controls, it hit a piling it hit his full size parked boat and headed toward the middle of the lake, it almost got t-boned by a fullsize boat and then the engine finally killed and they had to go and get it. This boat hit all these things at a good clip. I believe he has a Dumas hull. Man that thing was tough. THe boat has no holes in it after all that.Originally posted by paikiah Well, seeing that there are gears right below the intake chamber, it might very well be a supercharger.
FYI, on the pic it's:
Air Filter--->intake/compression chamber-->intercooler--->what apparently should lead to intake of the engine.
