Tunning port

ok so I created a box and its 2.46 cubic feet and tuned it to 34 for 1 12 inch sub. This should sound nice correct or no???? I listen to all kinds of music. Mostly urban.

I'll just assume you went with the tuning # that's recommended from the manufacturer, since you didn't name your subs or anything. If so, yes.

DIDDO.....34 hz is a pretty good number but it all depends on the sub specs and how well and accurate the box / port are made?

If they are rockfords like in you sig, you should post

the version, 34hz may turn out to be a bad choice.

Well they are PCH-812 http://www.rockford-fosgate.com/rftech/library/1994/5_Subwoofers/PCH-412_812-TS.pdf and these are the specs. Says the frequency range is 32-250. So this means I should be good correct? Yeah these are old lol.

They really like to be tuned at around 42Hz in that enclosure, but

I suppose 34Hz would work.

42 in green 34 in red, if those efficiency ratings are real, those things can get loud!

Cool thanks. I just hope this box I am going to make makes them sound good. I can tell they want allot of room lol. What did you use to get them figures? Wow crazy how they like that 42 huh.
