tune JL 1000/1 for about 500-600 watts

Can someone give me the settings for it? I don't want to overpower/blow a JL 10 W7. It's just in there for temporary purposes for when I get my 13W7 back from reconing.

I don't have one of the gauges to tune an amp. Can someone just give me the settings for it?

Give you the settings? Um, just get a DMM and tune it or by ear if you don't have a DMM. It should be near the same as the 13w7. No one can give you the settings, you need to tune it to the sub.

the 10's are rated at 750rms, and they can take 900 daily...

Find the the setting in the chart for the RMS and ohm impedence of your sub. Then set your gains with your DMM, using the setting listed.

In the chart, there isn't a 3 ohm...

Then set it with the 2.67 setting. That would mean even less of a chance you would blow your sub. I would try that, if that doesn't seem like enough power, then maybe bump it up a little by ear? I didnt realize that there wasnt a 3 ohm listing. GL

dude just take 3ohmsx750 or whatever you want to power it, find the square root of the number in this case 47.434 and set the gain to 47.434 volts using the DMM... its not that difficult dude

It's cool. And thanks. It probably won't get too loud because of the box I will be using. I will be using a 2.5 CU FT tuned to 32 hz. It's just there because of the 13. I already have built it for the 13, but I haven't cut the hole in the front. So I'm going to cut the hole for the 10, then when the 13 comes back in the mail, i will make the hole bigger.

You think theres any chance your w7 10 will be louder than you 13 bc of the airspace?

What you gona do with the 10 when you get your 13 back? I think I have the charts for the 1000/1's at the shop if you dont get it by tom night.
