like how much it takes to make a speaker or amp compared to how many times they multiply that price as they sell it to u

ya no joke say best buy, buys there alpine type Rs off ebay they would be making about 120 bucks off each one.

i dont think it was very vague,

i was just seein if anyone has a real answer that they know for a fact,

cuz i would guess a alpne type r would cost about 40 bucks to make

and like a treo csx cost like 90 to make

maybe im way off

I remember when I worked at best buy aned brought my 06 kenwood 9102 it retailed for 289 or something like that and I paid 130 something. we only paid 10% above the wholesale price. I forgot how much I paid for a Type ARHHH

it actually costs less than that but the engineering and customer service is the expensive part

Back in the day, when I was selling audio gear, the markup to the store was usually around 50-75% on recievers, cd players, tv's etc. Speakers had ~100% markup, and cables, and other acc's had 100-150%.

depends really. look at the cost of a Fi BTL recone compaired to a Re MT recone. IDK if thats a great way to judge but its interesting none the less.
